Gender Diversity Resources

Camp Alonim accepts and celebrates all identities, fostering positive self esteem in children so they can go out and be positive forces in the world. Our goal is to support every individual’s well-being, which includes bunking campers and staff according to gender identity. We recognize that this may represent a learning opportunity for some of our families, and we are happy to provide the below resources to support this work:

Gender Spectrum: Gender Spectrum is a national organization committed to the health and well-being of gender-diverse children and teens through education and support for families, and training and guidance for educators, medical and mental health providers, and other professionals.

JQ International:  JQ is an LGBTQ+ Jewish organization in Los Angeles. JQ celebrates the lives of LGBTQ+ Jews and their allies by transforming Jewish communities and ensuring inclusion through community building, educational programs, and support and wellness services, promoting the healthy integration of LGBTQ+ and Jewish identities.

Keshet: Keshet works for the full equality of all LGBTQ Jews and our families in Jewish life. We strengthen Jewish communities.

Moving Traditions: Moving Traditions emboldens Jewish youth to thrive through the pursuit of personal wellbeing (shleimut), caring relationships (chesed), and a Jewish and feminist vision of equity and justice (tzedek). Combining positive psychology with Jewish values, we partner with Jewish institutions across North America to engage Jewish teens, families, and communities.
