Pete Benudiz Endowed Scholarship

Few things shaped Pete’s life more than his childhood at Camp Alonim. He could hardly speak of camp without a simultaneous smile and a tear. During his life, Pete loyally donated significant gifts to the scholarship fund, every year for many years.

We are now taking the opportunity to memorialize Pete by creating the Pete Benudiz Memorial Endowed Scholarship. Because of his bequest of $150,000, and his son Jordan’s match of the same amount, young campers will be able to experience the magic of Camp Alonim just as Pete did.

With Alonim being home-away-from-home to more than 950 overnight campers each summer, our goal is to create a substantial endowment so that the 5% distribution amount invites many campers to experience Alonim each summer — please join us in contributing what you can to honor Pete’s memory:

Pete began friendships at Alonim that were among his very closest; these friendships were a gift to his life, which sustained him until the very end. Let’s create a fitting legacy for Pete at a place he loved deeply, Camp Alonim. May his generosity and kindness live through his family and friends, and among all Alonimers.
